Quad-Core MT6589 Features, Benchmark Testings and Results
So this quad-core MT6589 chip gets benchmark tested by Engadget China. Pretty much impressive, this A7 chip managed to get a score on Antutu of more than 12,000 points! Current dual core MediaTek phones only have 5k-6k scores, so this ones really a big change on the geeks’ numbers game.
An engineer model of a MT6589 phone from MediaTek was used on this testing. Even though this couldnt be generalized on every upcoming MT6589 handsets; still we now have a clue how good this quad-core chips will come out.
Expect the wave of these new quad core phones this 1st quarter of the year. With these in the know, MediaTek really did such a great job here for offering us powerful chipsets on phones at really cheaper prices.

And i want to ask if you know taht this chip support GPS+ GLONASS… like Snapdragon.. its for me very importent.. So could you find it for me ?
i will update you once we can be able to confirm about that. since they just have tested with a prototype unit, we cannot say that now. unless I do have a contact with Mediatek, but unfortunately not.
