HDC I9300 Galaxy SIII Pro
The HDC I9300 Galaxy SIII Pro sports a very fast MT6577 series CPU that is said to have a maximum clocking speed at 2 GHz, partnered with a very commendable PowerVR SGX531 GPU. It comes with Android 4.0 ICS out of the box, and something to notice about this new Galaxy S3 Pro is the name of its CPU hardware. Upon checking with System Info testers/viewers, this device displays: SMDK4x12, whereas its the same as the real Samsung Galaxy S3.
Has the same TouchWiz UI to inherit the same real S3 feel!
I am not really sure on what might be the good effect of this modification, but I can be so much sure about the speed and capability of this phone. Antutu benchmark testings on this HDC Galaxy S3 Pro yields impressive scores of above 5000.
Antutu result here shows not 5000 because this was tested when there was some other apps running. Still, its highest compared to other China handsets.
It is a Dual SIM capable Android handset, that has two versions: one with Dual SIM using regular SIM card, and the other version has dual-SIM with micro-SIM slot support.

hi marocroc! its the 1st sim card slot that always has the 3G/WCDMA support, while the second is the one with GSM only.
there surely is an indicator on which slot is the 1st or 2nd heheh if you do not have a micro SIM then its best to just get the version of the HDC S3 Pro that has Dual SIM with regular SIM slot support. It will work with 2G and 3G, but in this way: WCDMA (1st) + GSM (2nd). Hope that helps.

I am also planning to get this one.
It is just based on my understanding on the posts of CHinese people, sometimes they are mostly hard to comprehend in terms of their presentation. I might be wrong, but in any case you can just tell it to them on the “additional notes” section while you complete your order. Now, I noticed that they are only shipping out single-slot versions.
Its Android ICS and is based on the real Android source code. There might be a couple of CHinese apps that is preinstalled, it still can be removed at ease.
There is actually a lot of variations of this HDC S3 clone. other has lower mAh rating but battery cant be swapped with the other. with this one, as posted on their listing, it is 2400mAh. but maybe its not accurate or it might be just 2x battery at 1700mAh each. So that’s it.
I honestly also have some confusions with how Chinese communicate us with their data and specs.

Can those who had bought and received the phone comment about the display and sound quality of the phones. Still deciding whether to get S3 Pro or HDC note 2 as the display for note 2 is QHD and 540*980 compare to 480*854 WVGA for S3 Pro. But the weight for Note 2 is 850g!! Await comments before deciding to buy S3 Pro or wait for samsung galaxy note 2.

HDC Galaxy Note 2 is already available. well, I can say that comparing the display, qHD wins. though, WVGA isnt bad as well. and taking into comparison both of the two, you’ll get:

logically, the HDC S3 has better screen display as the pixel display is denser.

The FastCardtech do not have the dualsim model available now, they only have the single SIM version. Any other place to buy it..?

No, I havent got a unit as I decided to exchange it for the upcoming jiaYu G3. hehe
about that issue, it might be true and I guess its a factory fault. it might be the reason for the delays of other shipments of the hdc galaxy s3 pro and that’s why they now only have single sim versions as the factory removed the secondary sim slot which is the micro sim.
Not sure about the other place on where to buy that same but with working dual sim, other shops might have been selling a different one.
Thank you Ian for the reply. Do u happen to know the size (length, width, height) and weight of HDC note 2 . Prefer Note 2 compared to S3 but concern about the size of Note 2. Jiayu G3 is HD display, really like the display but Ithe screen size seem a bit small.

hi trogg, you can always tell on the box in the last step of ordering before checkout some added requests. they accept requests such as no logos or blank box, hence you can also ask Fastcardtech to add the logos on front and back. as far as i know, the design of the box is also cloned. you can also note it for their knowing.

I ordered it thinking that I would be able to use the sim card I had already purchased, but there is only one sim card slot and it’s for the micro sim card which i don’t have. The phone is beautiful but I’m worried now that I can’t use it because the sim card issue. i already purchased the monthly service also. What should I do?

I am aware of that problem as well with the orders of this S3 Pro since last month. Sorry to hear about it, but I am glad to hear that you got the phone.
Well, to answer your problem, I can only suggest you one. Cut your sim card to the size of a micro-SIM. Guides can be easily found on Google, that way you can now use your normal SIM card.
@Ian HDC had a physical store(kiosk) a couple months ago, in SM Masinag Marikina City. But they pulled out perhaps demanded or financial. So far I was not able to get any further information. Sorry
I never heard of that, I havent yet gone in SM Masinag, too bad they stopped their operation. If only they have the proper introduction to the public, people might appreciate that kind of China phone products, anyways thanks for the info bro.

Thanks for the reply! I did try cutting the Sim Card and it still didn’t work. For all of those who are wondering about the phone, I’ve had it for about a week now and it has stopped working! The phone just stays on the samsung logo screen and it not changing. When I hold down the power button it won’t even turn off! I’ve tried popping the battery in and out and it continues to freeze on the logo screen. I’m keeping it turned on to see how long it stays and so for it’s been 3 and a half hours that the screen is stuck. AT least we know the battery is functional, lol. What i can say is that it worked very well in the week that it was functional. Even though I had no sim to connect service i used wifi at home and it was super fast, the display was great, bright colors and very responsive! But like i said it’s not working now and i’m very disappointed! I’ve contacted techsupport about the issue and I’m waiting to hear back. The screen issue just started today so i’ll wait and see what they tell me. I can also say that customer service has been good at communicating and getting back to me with answers. (there was also order processing/shipping issues with FCt when i first ordered…let me know if you want to hear them if you’re interested in more complaining, hahaha). This is my experience so far, I hope there is a happy resolution for me

I will also check out Colonel Zap since I’ve seen a couple of his reviews also. By the way I have an update on my correspondence with FTc tech department. I told them about the Dual sim issue and more importantly that the phone is frozen and their response was that the pro version is not on the site anymore so i already knew it wasn’t dual sim. That doesn’t make any sense because how could I order it if it wasn’t on the site. Also the descrption clearly said DUAL SIM. Also they told me i need to fix it myself instead of telling them about it because I don’t know phones. I’m not joking, that’s exactly what they told me! I wrote back to them and informed them their site did describe the phone as being dual sim so they misrepresented the product. I also told them i did not appreciate the tone of response they gave me. I got another message from them which was an apology, i accepted:). And they said they would send me a rom for an update. However, I don’t want a rom for a phone that won’t even turn on. The next thing they’ll tell me is that I didn’t install it properly. And according to them I don’t know phones. I want to send this back and resolve this issue. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’m not getting scammed out of over $200. Thanks for your response and info though 
pal its more risky if you send back the phone. I am suggesting that you try out first the ROM they will give you. reflashing ROMs are the methods used for phones that have stuck boot loop or those that doesnt turns on. Please try that first pal.

hmmm similar problem with the zp100 i got here, i as well thought gps is not working but i managed to fix it. just try a gps fix app, or maybe enter engineer mode and fix gps from that app. well, its suggested you do that outdoors as roofs can be barriers to signals.
After going back and forth with them they sent me shipping info and their return policy, but because of the experience I’ve had with them already i think you are totally right! Now I’m scared that sending it back will cause me even more trouble. I’m going to take your advice and try the flash. I’ve never tried it before (if you could guess I’m not tech savvy like every one else here,haha) but i guess it can’t get any worse since the phone is already not functioning, lol. I will try! just ask them about the tutorial on how to flash the rom and get the rom from them. I will try to do what I can now. may I know your order number so that I can as well contact them about your issue and ask them to do their best, act fast and not take you for granted.

I tried with GPS + test, I tried to engineer mode, I tried gps fix … all done in the open air without buildings.

try enabling wifi as well or just connect to it. also try connecting on mobile 3G/HSDPA if there is no wifi signal but still power up that wifi.
try using the maps app and locate your location.
I tried to enable all gps, wifi, 3g, a-gps, epo nothing not even see a satellite.
I went into engineer mode, I did not even ygps nothing here!
the support of FCT sent me the apk file co-pilot, also installed that does not work.
I finally did a factory reset, nothing does not want to know about satellite lock
Well. I ordered my phone today…. I paid a total of $292 for it so I hope I get it soon and this FCT doesn’t turn out to be a scam like I have read like EVERYWHERE!!!! Also I paid to get it delivered through fedex so how long does it take them to ship your phone out, does anyone know? I have my HDC S3 pro now for 2 weeks and are satisfied about almost everything but not the gps. even the A gps does not functionate. There are also two bugs in my phone:
1 Whenn I touche the browser icon it gives me the Chinese WO Android China.
2 When using the samsung apps icon it gives me a bug in the connection like Network anomalies or server abnormal !. But I am in connection with support FCT.for this.
There was a Chinese instruction manual, with it that I don’t understand at all.
Sometime ago I advised the Chinese resellers to put all their manuals in Chinese on the internet. With Google tranlate the hole world can read them in their own language. Then they will sell 100% more off their phones.
Can I correspondent in my own language with you and you use Google translate?? ,or do I have too do that in English??. because I will have more stories about Chinese phones for you.

Z device tells me, under android system info, that the hardware off the S3 pro is MT 6575 so it is not mt6577 like FCT says. By my phone there are two batteries each 2100 mAh.
Kolnel Zap is showing a GPS check maybe from Chinese experience and from China.
My phone came with chinese instructions. You can think of how difficult it is, for a Europeen customer, to read this or not at all.That is what they have too change make more effort for your Europeen customers by better instructions and better information.
Tell FCT that when they treat Europeens better they can sell 500 % more good phones.
When I change the battery my time and date are going back to 7/25/2012 2.00 hour and is not automatic regaining the original time. I believe my phone is thinking he is still in Hongkong, or what else can it be. ( network or server)

Hey guys, dont waste ur money for this phone. I bought it from fct and the micro sim doesnt work NO GPS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY SELL THIS PHONE IF ITS BROKEN, WHY THEY DONT CHECK IT FIRST AND AFTER SHIP. Im very dissapointed from them coz they say that they re company is for 8 years in the market. The batteries are 2100 mAh each and the hardware is mt 6575, instead off 6577 as offered by fastcard tech. well, let me see. but as I can say, there isnt any help I can do if there is really some problem. 
I can’t stop of thinking that this company is a scam.. why they offer a phone as dual-core when it is not. Why they offer micro-sim slot and GPS when it doesn’t work at all?
They should say the true about these phones and sell them cheaper if the phones doesn’t have the feature that they’re offering on their website.

yes it does, only the chipset and kind of screen material used are different. but the system is same, they are both Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

I thing that the dual version not work is because of the rom.If you check on aliexpress for example you will see the same phone that works with one micro and one normal sim tray dual standby

I have this phone now for 2 weeks. Everthing seems ok . Except I cant get it to work on 3G networks.
Presently I am in Thailand and bought it here.
I tried with AIS . TOT . True networks but all give only Edge 2.5.
this phone is advertised as 3G data but cannot connect.
Any advice. Firstly to if there is a service code to check phone 2G and 3G bands .
i have used the micro sim slot but I have uncovered a second slot
under the silver foil paper blocked with a plastic cover. Once removed I could insert a normal aized sim and both working now.
its 3g band is 2100MHz i guess, so what band does the 3g of your network works? also, be sure to enable 3G on the settings.
I was looking at S3 clones, including this phone, but judging by all the problems everybody seems to be having with the GPS, I think I’ll just wait until the original Samsung comes down a bit in price. Thanks guys for helping me make up my mind and I hope you find a way to solve your GPS problems.

Since this is such a steal, is it legal to own one? Can it connect to everything the real s3 can? internet, BT, wifi, etc? I am very curious. If I bought a sim card for the real s3 from a carrier would it work in this? Are there any warranties on them in case they do not work? Do they come in English or do you have to have adapt to somethings being in chinese? Please let me know.

yes it can connect to internet, BT and wifi but not to Samsung Kies and Samsung Apps store I guess.
yes it will work as long as your network supports the indicated network frequencies.
you can say to them that they should set the phone in english language in case you arent used to Android setup and not sure where to change the language settings of the phone.
some to run the gps put a copper wire in place of the antenna, but to do this they had to open the phone.
I tried, it works only until you close the phone. closed once the reception is very very weak so as not to use it.

i think, what you can get from android sale is really different. fct mentioned to me that they are in partners with HDC for a long time and what you can get from FCT is the certified geniune.

My phone shows mtk6575 as its cpu although it must be mtk6577.
Also, my phone has stopped working; it gets stuck on the Samsung logo.

Everybody is saying the GPS is a disaster and you have said a lot off times to discuss this with FCT but untill now no answer or solution is offered by you through FCT. Saying things and doing promisses needs a follow up. We have too attack FCT and FCT has too attack HDC. China does ruin their bussines outside their home country by having no after service for the rest off the world,special whenn something is not fuctionating they say send it back,what is absolutely rediculess because at the end you are 3 month more far and you payed your product in the end twice.I now have bought 3 Chinese handies in almost 3 years with GPS. None off these product the gps is working. So Chinese factories take care off your customers. Not being cheap and looking good and have a 30% cheaper product is the most importand. When for the rest everything is chitt you better don,t try to do bussiness with the not chinese market.some advices for the distributers and producers:
1 Better and understandable instructions for use.idiot to send Chinese instructions of us
2 After service, and repair, organisations in the rest off the world for their products.
3 Better and understandable information about their products and no automatic answers.
4 When you wan,t to have succes look at how the best builders off phones in the world act and help and inform their customers and I garantee FCT and the others a succesfull future,otherwise they will drown in their eastern and oneside thinking memory.

as for my case, yes GPS is a real problem with Chinese-made phones, I have a ZP100 and it has also problem with GPS but it only occurs sometimes. I actually planned to make a post on how to work out with this GPS issues on Chinese Android phones but due to busy schedule in school, it had slipped my mind. When I get my ordered HDC Galaxy Note 2, I will let you guys know about its GPS status.
When in doubt, get a phone from local sellers. with that you can easily get with your warranty, but why do we order from China? Because of cheaper price.

I put the normal sim and only 2G I have tried to add the micro sim but the phone havn’t recognized it I don’t know why! could it be fake or not working?
another thing is that many people can’t hear me well when I call them, I can hear them very clearly but most of the time they can’t hear me and the voice is fading!
when i speak through the hand-free people hear me very clearly
is this problem related to “noise reduction” option and how can i diss-able it as I couldn’t find any in the phone settings
i do not really know about that settings, but what i remember in our ZP100, there is a settings in engineer mode which we tweak the mic to improve call experience.
on the sim, i think any slot has 3g, be sure to just set it on mobile networks settings, to wcdma only be sure to on 3G access first. youll see H sign if 3G is on. and then, i think the micro sim slot is faulty, if im not wrong

The 3g work perfect, This phones are unlock from factory and dont have the APN of the carrier that you use in your country.
To edit the APN of you carrier you need to go to:
Setting then inside setting go to more.. then inside more.. select Mobile Networks
Then select Access Point Names.
Then in this new window. if you not see anything.
select the left button below the phone, which is in the left side of the home button
then select NEW APN
a new window will appear, you need to search in google something like this:
E.g. My carrier is claro. i search in google: apn claro country
you need to change the word country for your country.
then complete the fields in the phone with the information that you find.

Hi guys I have to go a little off topic if I want an answer seeing as your pro’s here’s the question: I bought the haipi9377 from ebay and successfuly overclocked the cpu from 1 core at 1000.01 ghz and second core at 250.1ghz to both run full equaling 2 cores at 1000.01 in other words it’s running 2000.02 ghz now a 2ghz dual core.The only issue is battery drain now it came with two crap 1800 mah batteries is there any chance I can get a 4800mah from another phone to use with it to extend its usage time as at the moment If use the net or an app it ab

what can you expect with what you did on overclocking the phone. of course that will really drain the battery very fast. i do not know if there is a phone with 4800mAh battery rating, but i am pretty sure it wont fit on your haipai. best thing to do is, do not overclock the phone unless you really need it actually to run on that speed

yes you can as long as it will fit. high mAh just means more juice for the phone, wont be doing any bad on the phone’s end I suppose.
Cheers Ian i will try my local small phone shop for some better after market battery that fits then clock it up again,i’ll then let you know how it lasts out with giving it some serious gaming and app use,hopefully it won’t overheat?One idea i suppose is thermal resistant padding in ceramic white,high end stuff you get on ebay and place it between the case and battery,the density would be very thin but should help to reduce the heat from the battery and the motherboard,you can get it on ebay it’s called thermal resistant material.

All B92M have non working gps configurations AND crap antenna design, so nothing works
For the first time i got a gps first fix in 461 secs , it is weak but i see satellites, better than nothing

not sure about it, but try clearing the cache of the maps app. then fix the gps by going outside on an open space. using gps fix apps might do the trick as well

I have the same GPS problem.
Here is what helped:
- create a gps.conf file (this should contain your nearest NTP servers. Google for it, or use FasterGPS from Android market to create one)
- configure EPO, and A-GPS for faster first fix
- pimp the antenna of the device. Basically I did not cut any circuit or else, just took some copper from a cable, and create a big L from it, then put it under the antenna (smoothly open the glue, and put it there, just like this:

With these fixes I get position in 10-15 second (open air), with the accuracy of 19-25 meter.
The only problem is, if I put back the phone’s back the signal strenghts are lower and the accuracy is 45-60 meters
Also the first fix is around 30-120 second.
So we have to build a new antenne, because no software update will solve this..
Let me ask a question:
The camera should be either 8M or 12Mpixel, but I can’t do just 640×480 video. Is there a setting to change to get the 720p?

you can try a different video recording app. just search from the playstore “video recording”
Not working unfortunately. I tried cameraPro (formely cameraX), but I was not able to choose 720p. The highest resolution was 480 :-//

This is a different model, but the same motherboard (chipset). As you can see it is about poor connectivity between the motherboard & antenna.
I used some connection cleaner fluid and “sprayed” 1 drop to the motherboard’s GPS connector (below the antenna).
It helped a bit, but would be better to solder again the antenna to the GPS connector.
Does anybody have a guide how to disassemble the phone? I would make a try.
